$1 Image Stabilizer For Any Camera - Lose The Tripod (video)

In short, uses a 1/4" screw, non-stretchy string and a large washer to create an anchor of sorts.

1. Attach the string to the bolt and washer.
2. Insert the screw into your camera's tripod mount (obviously having picked a screw that emulates a tripod head).
3. Drop the washer to the floor and step on it.
4. Pull upwards to generate tension on the string and firm up your shot.
5. Take your "stabilized" photo!

We discussed this one a while ago. While it does appear that it can help if you have shaky hands, for me it didn't make any visible difference at all until I went down a silly (for handheld) 1/6 second at full 300mm zoom. I have used the 1/4" eye bolt strapped to a stick several times, though, and it works very well as an impromptu monopod while hiking.

I will try this later tonight, looks interesting. To bad I missed the last thread on it. I've got semi shaky hands so this might actually help.
