Thawte SSL

Anyone use Thawte for SSL certs? We currently use verisign but for less than $500 we can renew for 2 years where verisign costs almost $1800

Since they are owned by verisign why the price difference? There has to be a catch of some sort

I'm not sure really.. maybe verisign offers better certificates and of course they have bigger name brand recognition.

Well from what I can tell Thawte is the number 2 name in SSL certs. And to my knowledge they are both the same bit encryption so, anyone know the difference other than brand recognition which really isnt a factor for me

other than that i don't think there is really any difference, except perhaps service.
i'd go for thawte for sure!
