At least you don't have to cut a tree, getting splinters in your fingers. And then having to light the logs on fire and get some good fire going. That would take at least an hour.

yup, microwaves work better when the water is more energetic, like in the liquid phase. For frozen stuff, its best to let it sit in a pot of luke warm water for a bit.

I got a wicked splinter on NYE and it was still hurting this past weekend so I decided to slit my finger open with my Cold Steel Voyager and see if I could dig it out. The knife cut through my skin like butter. I didn't find the splinter but I can fairly confident it came out with the 2 pints of blood I lost. :)

Damn a bit overkill for just opening up your skin :shocked: Them things look proper for removing your finger entirely!.

I have no doubt it could pretty easily. I didn't have any razor blades or exacto knives around so I decided to use the Voyager instead.

Hopefully I don't get a staph infection!
