I went to high school with Steve Davis(RB) of the Carolina Panthers. I was happy to see the Redskins trade him since they didn't know how to use a running back.

Nice to see him show the Redskins what they lost on the first few plays of the game tonight :)

EDIT: Damn he is making them look like fools.

I'm currently watching the game...too bad it's not in HDTV.

The Panthers have looked good so far...to bad they aren't converting in the red zone.

Yeah, I still think that offense could still be a problem this year but I think Davis is an AWESOME pickup for them. They needed a solid running back. I just hope he can stay healthy.

Julius Peppers should be a lot to handle for most offensive lines this season.

EDIT: Another thing that I find funny is that people think that Davis is a slow guy. If I remember correctly, he won the state championship in the 100m in high school. He may not be the fastest guy on the field but his blend of power and speed is dangerous.

If he can stay off the crank. ;)

crank :)

LOL, it was ephridrine right? I understand the rules but it isn't like that drug is really a perfomance enhancer.

EDIT: See, they take out Davis and they fumble the ball :)

Yeah, he says it was cold medicine, and I believe him. His doctor should know the rules though.

He at least took the punishment like a man.

I just think that if it isn't a performance enhancer and it can be shown to be a mistake, then they should have let him play.

Probably...but I'm thankful the NFL has a strong substance abuse policy and not the farce MLB pushes.

DAMN, that is my other boy on the Redskins. Rod Gardner played for Clemson University where I got my college degree. I guess I will pull for Gardner to do well but I hate the skins.

I guess we are the only two NFL fans right now. BTW, Steve Davis would have picked up that first down for the skins :)

Any compassion I felt for the Redskins was retired when Spurrier joined up.

Since he's a Tar Hole, hoping Julius Peppers does well has been one the most difficult tasks in my life. :)

Well since this is football, I don't mind any Tar Heels doing well. Clemson always ownz UNC in football. Now if this was NBA, I couldn't pull for a tar heel.

Let me guess, you are a dookie?

Hell no! Didn't the comment about Proehl give it away?

Another hint: I'm also pulling for Calvin Pace with the Cardinals this year. :)

Ahhh!!!!! Well good for you. I was going to be disappointed if a dookie was actually interested in football. Not that Wake Forest is that much better but anything is better than Duke. Of course Wake should have beat us last year. Clemson lucked out in that game. Wake might have a decent team in another year or so. I think y'all lost too many players to be as good this year.

It might be my school spirit talking but after reading about the practices this spring, I would almost be willing to bet that Clemson ends the season in the top 25. Especially if we can pull one win out of the Virginia, Maryland, or NC State games. We will beat Georgia and FSU this year. Georgia is the better team but they are missing too many players for their first two games :)

I think we'll be okay. We have some good, young talent. Our quarterback is unproven, but I think he'll be great. Besides, we have a great coach. And yes, we should have won that game last year. :)

After FSU, UVa, and Md, I think the rest of the league is up for grabs.

Unlike Duke, we are trying to get better at football. At least we don't play our games at the track.

Yep :) Even showed our high school coach.

It is too bad we couldn't get Steve at Clemson. I guess ACC schools just have higher academic standards. Steve couldn't manage to get a 700 on the SAT. Auburn was the only school that felt they would risk a spot on him.

Auburn will risk a spot with anyone...
