Sometimes, when I try to open a website, it'll take unexpectedly long, but when I open up an instance of IE at the same time, it immediately loads up.

I think I'll be switching to CrazyBrowser, more specifically, since it does tabbing and all that.

So many people with improperly setup computers. I don't see a difference in load times between FF and IE7 although I do see a difference in page rendering, namely FF renders it correctly while IE is a bit of a crap shoot.

It's not that my computer's been improperly set up. It's been running normally properly since ages, and since the last couple of days, I've been getting problems.

Is it public yet? And finalized? Or still in testing?

In my experience FF often has problems playing embedded videos. Sometimes the codec or plug-in for the video won't load properly, for whatever reason; but it'll play just fine with IE.

Other times a website simply isn't coded at all for FF compatibility and so you'll need to open it with IE.

These are my main problems with the browser, but all in all i still prefer it best.

When I use Firefox and I'm in Gmail and use apostrophes, it screws up and automatically brings up the FIND menu at the bottom - usually activated by CNTRL F. Anyone else run into this problem... its at random for me and drives me nuts.

I use IE6 with no spam or pop-ups. I tried FF but it ran slow on my computer so I gave it the boot.

I've never really understood the fascination with firefox....I use it for the tabbed browsing, but as far as page loads, it's equal with IE6, and honestly IE seems to run pages with scripting on them much much better.

There's always Opera. I usually switch to it for a week or so every time the buggy copy and paste on Firefox pisses me off enough. Then I start missing a plugin I like and switch back...

I like Opera as well, I bought the mobile version for my MDA. Vast improvement over PIE. To me, the desktop version doesn't offer enough over IE7 for me to switch fulltime, though.

Opera, after customization is perfect for me. FF, after customization, is still Netscape's brother - big ole hog.

Same here. IE is used for Windows Update only now.

I can't get used to FF. Maybe I don't have all the add-ins for it to make it work they way i want to, but why should i have to do all that when IE already does it for me?

i don't quite understand whats so great about tabbed browsing though.
seems more of an annoyance to me

Whats up with all the updates to FF lately? Seems like once every other week it's telling me I need to restart my browser for the update to take effect.

you could also try opera. it was the first browser to incorporate all the features that FF and IE "borrowed" such as tabs. it's the fastest browser and it is also the only on that passes the Web 2.0 Acid Test. it has built in BitTorrent and has widgets. give it a try. it rocks.

I totally agree with you, The lastest release blows. I used to view all images from everywhere and now I am having trouble testing some sites with FF.
