Dermentologist? (sp)

Foot doctor? lol

This stupid wart never goes away. I had it for the whole summer now. It's pissing me off and I'm gonna have it carved out by the doctors. And then I'm gonna ask for the wart piece, drench it in gasoline and burn it.

Why go to the doctor?? Here's an easy way to get rid of it. Sterlize a pair of toe nail clippers. Then use them to take the wart off. If you can't stand 20 secs of mild pain you can always numb the spot with ice.

PICS?????

Seriouly, though, I think you go to a podiatrist for these. They aren't like normal warts. You can cut it off or remove it with a topical solution but unless you get the virus out that causes it, it will continue to return, or worse, spread.

If you have a normal doctor, you should probably see him first and he will refer you to the appropriate specialist.

I heard they grow back unless you get a doctor to remove it....

A podiatrist would be the one. Mine shaved it off little by little over a few weeks. Cut down to the core, let it bleed for a while, and do the same thing the next week. Took a few visits, but after 2+ years, it's still gone.

I had one of these on my finger once. They numbed it up and cut the top off with a razor, but then the killer was burning the rest of it out with what for all intents and purposes looked like a soldering iron... still have a small scar to this day.

go to your regular doctor

they will freeze it with liquid nitrogen

i had one ingrown into the bottom of my foot, i went 3-4 times , it hurts moderately bad when they stick the liquid nitrogen (using a Q-tip) onto/into it

its better than keeping it

i used to get them swimming on my feet.

my strategy is get basooka and a nail scissors and cut the skin down tio the raw fleash, then wheedled as much of the black cores out as possuble and drop basooka on after is stops bleeding, and it doesnt hurt anything like having it frozen off i can tell you and its effective if you are tough about it.

about the pics, you arent from der netherlands are joo? bec we dont want any pics like that around here.

NO! NO! NO!!

Don't get it frozen!

Don't get it cut out!

Dammit, listen to me! :D

Ask your doc for a prescription for "Aldara." It's a cream you put on your wart, then duct tape to your foot(neat, huh? ;)) at night when you go to bed. When you wake up, take off the duct tape and go about your life until the next night, etc. Continue this for a couple weeks. It might be hard to keep it that long, but you've had it this long already and it won't be that bad. This stuff is for genital warts, actually:)Q), but it works great. If you have it cut or frozen, there is a 90% chance you will get more. You see, the warts are like an iceberg. You have a little bit of it on top, and below, it's all spread out underneath your skin. It's a virus, too, so unless you KILL the virus, it will keep growing back.

A few people might have had success with cutting and the like, but my doc told me it's safest and cheapest in the long run(the stuff is pretty cheap, too. Like $5 for a box of packets) and most beneficial...if it worked. He was only testing it on me, and said it probably WOULD but might not work. It did, though, and I highly recommend it.

That's another bad thing. If you get it frozen/cut/burned off, you will have a scar. If you get it killed with the cream, no scar, no nothing, and your foot is as good as new(er, normal, or whatever. ;))

I use to get them all the time on my feet when I was younger. I went to a podiatrist and he put this stuff on it and killed them over the course of a few weeks.

Then I got one on the underside of my tongue almost as big as a dime.

I, uh, yanked it out.

under your tongue? whta did you do? lick your feet?

ok...i was joking. i had warts on my foot too from swimming at a public pool. it wouldnt go away with OTC cream or nail clippers.

so my mom took me to the doctor who had burn them away with something like a soldering iron after numbing them out. smelling your own feet burning is a bit weird..but after a few days of walking funny ididnt feel anything anymore. there's some small scars left but its on the bottom of my feet so no biggie. never had any warts since then.

definitely go to a doctor and ask them whats best.

To correct all the stupid crap from this thread:
Warts (all warts) are caused by a virus, which can NOT be killed (it's impossible to completely remove a virus from your system, ever).
Freezing warts does not leave a scar at all.
Plantar's Warts are easily removed at a DERMATOLOGIST's office. He will either freeze it (probably not for a thick plantar's wart), or cut into it and used some light acid to kill the root, then snip off the remaining wart.
You get the wart virus by repeated contact with another wart. If you have a wart on your schlong, and you stroke one out every night, you'll probably get them on your hands (or vice versa).

'Nuf said.
