I was talknig to my boss abouta project that I will be working on, that required me to get Adobe InDesign. I say, I don't have the software, he says "Get it", I say "Should I call the IT dept. do we have licensing for it?"

He reaches onto a bookshelf next to his desk and pulls out a boxed copy of it still in the shrinkwrap, and says "here".

That was quick.

We use Novell Zenworks... Delivered Applications are as easy as adding someone to a group, then double-clicking the icon in th window. Boom. Done. 😀

That's if we are in a hurry though. You still gotta buy the license... or do you 🙂

Reminds me of the time when I told my manager I was running out of blue pens.
Quick as lightning he reached into his pants and pulled a box of pens.
Bic!
I took one out of the box and he promptly put the box back in his pants.

Whole box in his pants huh. Did he have a pencil sharpener and some paperclips too?

EDIT: Or did he just like stealing bicycles.

We use that at my work... but I hate the load time for small applications.

Just curious... But what kind of project is it? Couldn't you use Quark instead?

It's a project that requires moving data from InDesign documents to the web.
