Thats not all that made it a Hemi....Hemi's died in irrc '58 or so. Even the "Hemi's" of the 60's aren't true Hemi's.

Worse design for a trruck ever.

Almost all trucks are IFS now
 
Hemi just means the cylinders are hemispherical in shape...does Dodge have the patent on that, why don't other manufacturers use a similar shape if it indeed develops more horsepower?

They don't, and some do. Ford had a hemi as well back in the '60s. Dodge has a trademark on the Hemi name, but not the tech. The drawbacks include a larger head, increased rocker length, and the valve angles don't work well with DOHC valvetrains (thus the pentroof). However the 3 and 5 valve heads are very much hemi like as well in general shape.

Both have positives and negatives. I wouldn't consider either better than the other. I prefer both to torsion beam setups.

Torsion bars were great for lowering the front end of your '70 Cuda.

Don't forget the higher average-distance-to-edge from spark (slower combustion).

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, it's just the truly hemispherical chambers that don't look good to me. I like the shape of the LS2 and wedge head chambers.
 
I kinda like this idea, the Dodge "HEMI" lol is actually much nicer than nissan's V8, should improve the truck. Now if Dodge could get their hands on that 3.5 ... I might actually look at a Charger.
