Just check out the TV you want and hope to see a "Clearance" logo or something of the sort on its page.

I saved about $700 on my 50" Sony this way and it arrived perfect in every way! Couldn't recommend them enough, and it's no sales tax too!

actually, i'm not sure this is the site - the site I saw had a refurb hitachi crt based RPTV (55" I think) for under $1,000 with shipping. Can't seem to find it on this site.
 
Well, their inventory is up-to-the-second.

The moment I checked out with my refurb TV, the link to the refurb'd unit dissapeared from that television's product page.

Either it's a different site that I'm not familiar with, or someone already purchased the one you were previously eyeing.
