Hi people this is my first post and i am a bit exited to be in this forum i have heard so much about this site
now my problem my athlon 2400+ is running at 121f with no load or overclock is this goon?

yes that is with the heatsink fan that it came with a little coolermaster that i think is blowing into the sink, i also hane 3 larger fans about 3 inches one is in the side window (exaust) one is in the rear (exaust) and one is up front (intake) and of course the psu has an exaust fan

i always recommend thermaltake like a volcano 12. But that would depend on your motherboard, that is if there is enough space around the cpu to handle a bigger heatsink

For a fan: Cooler Master Jet7 would be my reccomendation. My 2600+ runs at 34C full load (though I haven't overclocked it YET) with NO CASE FANS. Yes, I should put some case fans in - at least the case is aluminum 😉

Thermaltakes are horrible. Thermaltake goes for looks over quality. Get a Thermalright SLK-947U or a SP-97 and a good panaflo or equivelent fan and have fun. Those two will be worlds better than that thermaltake, or coolermaster for that reason.
