That might have been the shortest "surprise party" planning ever

we decided on sunday that in april we should go back east for my fathers 70th party...so today im talking to my mom about unrelated things for a couple minutes on the phone and i bring up that some of my family wants to go back in april

well turns out my father had been on the other phone listening the whole time...oops!

Why the hell do fathers do that? My dad does the same thing, listens in on any conversation on the phone in his house, unless he finds it boring or he's busy.

well i think my mom knew he was on...both my brother and i live in cali while they are on the east coast so if they know its one of us they both will pick up...but usually its a "let me go find your father"...this time i bet they both answered and my father heard it was me so he just stayed on, but i was talking to my mother about something she sent me so no reason for him to chime in
