It's been like 3 days and his family is still holed up in their house in Santa Clara instead of going to Hawaii to be with him in the hospital.

The media says no one would come out of the house or answer phone calls. No one from his family has made a statement yet.

I don't see a link on OP. Something about the kids parents won't come out of the house or answer the phone nor go to Hawaii to be with the kid. Sounds like the Media is hounding them so no wonder:roll eyes:
If you don't let the media properly stalk you and make you out to be the bad person they want you to be, then they will make out out to be a terrible person anyway in other roundabout ways by giving users impressions without actually accusing or flat out saying it.

Dunno the story but maybe the family can't afford to go to Hawaii to be with the kid, maybe the kid is an asshole son, gets in trouble...Again I don't know the story but I knew a runaway before, they just didn't know how good they had it was all.

I'm going to guess that the airline is going to pay to fly him back. While what he did was illegal, he's a minor - and he was only able to succeed due to the airport's/airline's negligence.

Its not like it's a 6 hour car drive.

I hate rich snobs that don't comprehend what it is like to be truly poor.
