You are NOT smarter than a 5th grader if you don't let the 5th graders help you with the 4th and 5th grade questions FIRST.

Get the hard stuff out of the way early when you have help, then rack up the money as you get to easier questions.

I think their obligated to do the easier levels at first, but after a certain money point they can go nuts.

I think they must book adults who are clearly dumber than their 5th grader counterparts, because in the few shows I've watched they've all been pretty dumb (the adults that is), and they've all been college grads.

You would think (in the least) if they were going on a quiz show they'd want to study up before hand. Apparently not.

Yeah, that was sad. I also found it strange that a President/CEO of a construction/real estate company didn't know what half the area of a 12" square was.

Oh god. Man I could answer those questions before i could walk. I remember this one guy thought the sqrt(50) was 25 or something. Not surprisingly, he was like a criminal science 'major'. The stupidity of people will never cease to amaze.

:thumbsup: exactly. I was helping my gf's little sister on elementary school homework, and I got owned pretty badly. I didn't know how many meters were in a mile off the top of my head, what day gold was discovered in sf, and a whole host of other bizarre things.

Had I been in 3rd grade, I would have spit those facts out in a second.

Now an elementary school girl knows she smarter than I am.

really???? I saw it once and i thought the questions were very easy.....

my favorite was the guy who did not remember how to calculate the area of a rectangle.

the other question was which was the most Western state in the US and he gave a list of states (one being California and the rest being in the midwest and east).....

I've only heard a commercial on the radio for it and to be honest...it was so pathetic it sounded like a parody of a show commercial. Kind of like a South Park impersonation or something. It just sounds SOOOO freakin' stupid I couldn't believe it.
