We decided to cook a thanksgiving dinner for the hell of it. Next month were going to do a Christmas dinner.

Seems like an odd time of year to do Thanksgiving. :p Can you even buy a turkey at this time of year? I guess you can't, hence the spam. :p

I feel people should eat whatever kind of meal they want whenever they want it no matter how odd it may be.

You can buy turkey all year long but it's cheaper on traditional turkey type holidays. With Easter coming up, I hope both turkey and ham go on sale. I haven't had ham in over a year.

Spam's just as good as ham, and you can get aldi brand(99% certain this batch is hormel) for <$2/can. You could spam even a large family for <$10

spam is not really my thing.

I am one of those odd people that like a smoked pork shoulder.

I don't really make real meat around the house. It's pretty much limited to sausages and spam. All the worst kinds of meat :^D I like ham ok, but it isn't something I'd go out of my way for. My favorite meat out is a good bacon cheeseburger. If you were to give me a choice of the finest steakhouse, or a local pub with decent burgers, and you're buying, I'd take the local pub every time. I'm a cheap date :^D

LOL

everyone loves a good burger. I haven't had steak in years. I'd rather a burger or a roast.

I'm a pretty cheap date myself.

In fact I am making pork chops tonight with a side of red cabbage, mmmm.....

I'm the same way I prefer a good burger to steak. TBH I don't even really like the taste of steak. I've tried it many times since I find it LOOKs good, but when I try it, I just never like the taste.

Wtf spam is NOT just as good as ham. Maybe ham in a can sure but just a good hunk of ham slow cooked.
