To all who genuinely responded to my inquiry, thank you, but the offer is no longer open.

If you want something text based, I can do a template like my site or similar for free and you can fill in the content. And example of something that is "cute" IYO would be helpful. :p

Uhg, I do believe that's even worse than the one she wants to replace.

Only people who can rightly charge for their services [because they're good] need apply. Thank you, anyways.

Wow. What a jerk. He offers to do something nice, and you pretty much tell him to fvck himself. You could have just as easily politely refused.

Yeah, I'm not one for design, but that's harsh.

Sorry. By 'simple' I didn't mean that simple. I meant someone with good HTML skills and a little experience can make some fast Christmas cash on what should - for them - be a simple website. It doesn't have to be finished by Christmas.

I really meant the 'thank you anyways' part. That template site looks like a great resource for a future project.
let's see her current one
You will have PM in a bit.

Ask around, I know exactly how to say 'go fvck yourself' if and when I should feel the slightest inkling to do so. I won't 'pretty much tell' anyone something when I personally prefer the real thing.

Well, if the guy was asking for something to be done for him for free, then I might agree with you. But since tscenter will evidently be a paying client, in my opinion he is free to express his opinion of any services that are suggested to him. There are enough amazingly talented web designers scrambling for work out there that he doesn't have to settle for anything that looks like amateur work. In fact I won't even suggest my own services to him as I know my design skills aren't good enough just yet, and I've been the primary developer of a commercial website with a ton of active content for the last six months ... and yes, I'm being paid for my work, before anyone asks. :)

You're overqualified. :p

We're really not looking for something that will win design awards. Just trying to stay one cut above cheesey or rank amateurish, you know?

Thats not the point. I know you didn't say that, and I'm glad everyone is aware that you know exactly how to do so. My point was that you basically burned the guy for offering some help. Instead of saying "Im looking for something a little more complex and stylized, but thanks for the offer," you insulted him. Why be a jerk when it isn't necessary? Just because you have more than enough posts here doesn't mean you have to act like that. There's just no need for that. Oh, and I notice your User rating isn't exactly outstanding either. Gee, I wonder why....

you missed a good question someone asked...

that's lets see the current one, so that whoever wants to do it can compare what they're able to do or willing to do. Give me a PM after you link it up. I might be able to help.

Yeah, I definitely understand that. And as hard as work is to come by these days, I might have been inclined to try doing it on the cheap ... except that you specifically said you were looking for something cute rather than corporate, and I don't think I have much of a gift for "cuteness". My web designs to date have tended to be corporate, or at least somewhat "cold". Eventually I hope to learn enough design flexibility to be able to do cute, fluffy stuff as well, but for right now I won't pretend that it's a part of my repertoire.

I agree with lozina and kuljc that it would be very helpful for people to be able to see the current website, so they can determine if what they could offer would be an improvement or not.

How about a link to the current page? Enough with the PMing the link nonsense, just post it here :p I may be able to offer something up if I can see what I'm comparing it too (and I offer incredibly cheap services too -- undercut all the "professionals" by 50-75%)

Thank you, Emily Post. Now if you don't mind, the adults have some business to do. The Whine and Wimper Room is third door on the left.

K, everyone -- here's the link I was PMed: http://www.com/
Forgive me if you didn't want it posted here, but I think it's just easier this way. If it's REALLY an issue, I can edit and remove it, but I don't see the problem with the web traffic.

I'd redo it for 100$ in non-cc paypal. Standards compliant - simple to navigate.
