I've just completed building only the second system of my life. The process was very hard and very long. Choosing the components after reading reviews, reading forum messages and evaluating the costs makes the entire process difficult, but very worthwhile. Anyway, it wouldn't have been possible without the help of many Anandtechers and I just want to say thanks. There are lots of knowledgeable people in the forums and I appreciate all the advice. Well, here's my system.
Fong Kai 603
Antec 300w "smart" power supply
Enermax thermo control intake fan
Thermoengine HSF (stock fan, no delta)
Non-conductive Blue Shim
1.2 Athlon 133 FSB AXIA factory unlocked
ABIT KT7A
256 Crucial RAM CAS 2
MSI Starforce 831 GeForce PRO 64 MB
Lite-on 16/10/40 CDRW w/ Burnproof
IBM 46 gig ATA 100 HD
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz Soundcard
Diamond SupraMax 56k
NetGear 10/100 Network Card
Samsung 570v LCD Display
MS Optical Mouse
MS Intellitype Keyboard
3 piece speakers (no name knock offs-sounds ok)
So that's it. I know that its not the fastest thing on the block, but I got great deals on all thanks to the Hot Deals forum, and I stayed away from the SBLive Value card because of possible conflicts with the ABIT board. Everything is running a spec right now, no plans to overclock...yet..
Thanks again all.
