I am in the process of building a new PC and after installing a new hard drive and WinXP the hard drive is designated as "I" dive. I want it to be C drive and can not figure out how to achieve this. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to run - type compmgmt.msc - Go to Disk Management

If its the active drive Windows is installed on you will probably have to reinstall.

You cannot change the drive letter of the partition that XP is on. It may be possible using a third party utility like Partition Magic. But, it is not recommended!
The best solution is to install XP again. This time, only have the hard drive you are installing on hooked up to the motherboard when you install.
