I have bent many an ear trying to decide what to buy for my upgrade. Thanks for all your help, I just made my purchase.
I got :
intel p965lt mobo - board had the price and features I wanted (sorry overclockers.. just not my thing)
e6400 proc
1 gig of ddr800
evga 7950gt
I was pretty torn on the video(was between this and an x1950pro), but I went with the evga for two reasons. One it had a decent rebate that made it the same price as the x1950pro (I got the 256 version of the 7950), and secondly evga has the 90 day step up program.. so if in march there is just a great dx10 card in the $200-$250 range I will likely step up.
anyway... going from a
barton 2800+
9800pro
I should enjoy some gaming on new levels.
