I want to thank folks here for the help - I think I've narrowed down a few of my problems-
To recap- I was having a shutdown problem (shut down immediately during games, etc) on my new FIC AU11- using a Antec PP403X PS. I had a spare cheapie 300watt PS lying around so I stuck that one in. This fixed 2 problems- no more EMI garbage on 2nd VGA output (weee! thought it was videocard)- no more shutdown. I cannot overclock my 1600+ on the 300watter, or I'll get a reboot on games, etc.
I assume I can't overclock because of lack of power? My system is loaded, 5 drives, 4 case fans, etc.
Ok, so what I'm asking is- Does it pay to get the Antec fixed (still in warranty, 1 mos left), or should I just grab one of those 500 or 600watt cheapie PS? They go for like $35-$60. The PP403X is a discontinued 400watt model, I think the amperage was sort of low, and why they phased it out.
