Thank You, ZipZoomFly!

I was trying to place an order for some components today so I could upgrade my machine. I wanted to get it done today as I have a limited offer on my credit card so that anything I buy through the end of the day is locked in at 1.99% interest until it is paid off. Actually, my card was like that for the whole holiday season.

Anyway, I ordered this motherboard and received the last one, but accidentally ordered the older Athlon64 processor, rather than the newer 90 nanometer one with the Winchester core. Since you cannot change your order, I cancelled mine. Then I just hit refresh on the motherboard's page and about the time I got the confirmation e-mail for cancellation it came back in stock. 😀

I know, in this day and age it ought to be standard for companies to do that type of thing automatically, but most of them that I have dealt with don't seem to. Instead they insist on manually logging stock back in, and it is generally done at the end of the day.

EDIT: They also rock due to the fact that they let us get the 2 Day Air Fex Ex shipping in Alaska with only an additional $10.00 charge. Sure, it's free in the Lower '48, but so many companies screw Alaskans on shipping that a $10.00 "handling" charge along with otherwise free Second Day Air is a relief.

ZipZoomFly is way better than Newegg for us Alaskans, that's for sure. I theoretically love Newegg. But I actually buy from places like ZipZoomFly, SVC, Amazon... wherever there is reasonable shipping.
