Well, Ill hand it to them for actually getting it to me at 830pm, even though it was supposed to be next day air and was sent on the 19th.

It was my Amazon AMEX wishlist certificate, at least it was still in good condition. At least the code was was still visible, that was the only part that matters.

yes. UPS sucks some major balls. I ordered a couple posters from allposters.com. They came in a cylindrical tube which was supposed to have a cap on each end. well one cap was missing and all the posters were damaged from water getting in there somehow.

Cant say enough good things about the customer service at allposters.com though. I called them to complain about the condition of the posters, and they immediately sent out another shipment. I didnt even have to ship them back the damaged ones...

I don't see anything wrong with it? In all seriousness, at least the code was still visible on the certificate.

I can imagine not. Why would they want to pay the price for return shipping.

That sounds more like an issue with packaging.. they probably didn't tape over the ends. Both UPS and Fedex have packaging standards for a reason.

I've got many pics like that, all UPS. They don't give a rats ass either.
One being my DVD player retail box left out in the rain instead of walking 1 more step to put it where it'd be covered. They have to either do crap like that on purpose, or UPS has a max IQ limit to be hired.

We should start uploading smashed UPS package pics to one of the AT pic hosts, in it's own Smashed UPS Packages folder.

Wow, were the packages damaged? That would suck for people waiting for packages. I have always wondered what would happen if something like that occurred.

Would that do anything?

if it is free to do so, you are losing nothing. the least you can expect is an apology, the best a partial refund on shipping... late and beat up.

I would, but i am weird like that.

Next day air is guaranteed. It was late, so the full shipping amount will be refunded if Amazon asks for it. The money goes to the shipper, not the shippee.

I find it odd that so many here have troubles with UPS, as I've never had a single package from them get so much as a ding or a scrape.

The shipping was free for me anyway, I won one of those gift certificates from American Express.

The delivery guy left it on my doorstep and by the time I picked it up he was in the truck driving off.

When you get a package like that, you usually have the UPS guy just throw the package at the door and leave, or leave it by the door w/o ringing the doorbell. About a month ago I placed a large order with NewEgg, computers for dad's office. Well, an Antec case showed up with the box open, the top was just open, tape was torn and everything. UPS Sucks.
