You've proven to me that a extremely poor quality QB can be carried to the Super Bowl by a team. You do not deserve your teammates, but at least you have proven this small point that a QB does not make a team.

Yea.....I hate Manning and Grossman.....I hate Grossman more because he's really not a good QB....not even on the level of Brady or Manning....or even say a Jon Kitna. But yea. I hope the Bears dont win for that sole reason.

I thought Big Ben had proven that last year?

Trent Dilfur and Brad Johnson (to get just a few from the top of the list) say STFU and get in the back of the line.

Big Ben was only inept in his Super Bowl game......and after he crashed on a motorcycle while not wearing a helmet like a n00b.

I don't know that Grossman is bad QB...more like incredibly streaky. When he's on, he's as good as anyone in the league. When he's off...he looks like a middle school kid trying to play grownup.

I'd rather take the chance of Rex playing like he did on the first 6 games of the season than having the center snap 2 balls with D&J in the backfield at once.

This is true and he tends to lack confidence at times which further feeds this streaky behavior.

But when he is hot he's hot. He played a fine game yesterday and if he plays like that on SuperBowl Sunday then the Bears will crush the Colts like they did the Saints.

I'm not a Saints fan. I'm in TN....I haven't liked Grossman since he was a Gator. :p

As for Big Ben....he surprised me last year. I saw some real skill out of him, but what really impressed me was his leadership. Half of being a QB is standing up and being able to earn the respect of your team and your fans.....and this means not getting squeezed in the pocket and throwing the ball away like a sissy.

yeap very streaky. you never know if he is going to throw 4 int's or 4 TD's. though the last few games he has been good. hopefully he has one more good game.

hel i am just impressed he has stayed healthy this year.

Consistancy is everything.....more important in Golf that football, but that's only because Chicago had an amazing defense before they started losing people to injuries.

EDIT: BTW, yesterday I saw some awesome passes from Grossman. Not particularly in the first half of the game, and I'm not referring to the big ones downfield. He threaded some openings in the Saints defense like an expert, but for the most part....he was sorry. I was surprised to see the Saints fall down so easily, but the Bears just stood up and stopped them more consistantly to give Rex the chances he needed.

He only had a decent game yesterday because of one man, and that man was Saints CB Fred Thomas. Thomas has been burned a lot all year. I dont think Grossman threw deep against the other CB or the Safeties.

Why do you hate them? Did they date your sister? Did they beat you out of a job or kick your butt gym?

actually he is a damn good QB. problem is he is not mature yet. he still thinks he has ot carry the team like in College.

So he takes chances that he should pass on. then gets flustered and throws more bad pass's.

in time he is going to be damn good. but as for now? he has to have the lowest passer rateing of any other QB to make the superbowl (wich was all defence and not REx doing it)

Manning I dont like cuz I'm a Michigan fan.....see the debacle that was the 1997 National Championship split for that. And the other reason why is just because it seems like sometimes he whines...and/or that refs protect him. That 'roughing the passer' call yesterday was BS....that was the WEAKEST roughing the passer call I've ever seen and sometimes it makes me wonder if the refs are protecting him. And that does kinda bother me.

For his sake tho I do hope he wins the Super Bowl as he DEFINITELY is the hardest working QB in the league. I know it seems weird and contradictory but whatever :p

And Grossman....well he's from Florida....he's streaky as heck and as someone who is from Detroit and has seen a fair share of bad QBs I can safely say that without the Bears defense and a decent running game the Bears would have gone NOWHERE! I'd just be sad to see him win the Super Bowl because well the rest of the team earned it for him.

yeah thats what bothers me. When the Bears win the superbowl everyone is going to say how damn good Rex is and how he won the SB for the bears. When it was special teams and the defence.

if they were not so damn good the bears woldnt have made the playoffs.

the bears are not going to win the SB because of Rex. they ARE going to win it DISPITE REX

this was is FIRST full season as a pro QB, all i wanted to see was potential, and that was proven in him. Although he did make bonehead plays at times, all the blame cannot be placed on him. If he is rushed to throw a bad pass, the O line should have picked up a blitz or held a block. Can't just place it soley on his lap. IMO

If the Bears had lost, you would probably be calling out Sexy Rexy for trying to call two timeouts in a row and then his running off to the locker room before the team was finished playing instead of just saying "he made bonehead plays at times". Those instances were downright embarassing.

I could only imagine the headlines today in Chicago if the Bears had lost. LOL

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the Bears won but come on. David Carr hasn't even made those mistakes.

This is his 5th (4th?) year in the legue. there is NO excuse for those "bonehead" plays. calling 2 timeouts in a row? then trying to run off the field before it was over? christ the guy sucks. while in time he may be good right now he just flat otu sucks.

the avarage of his passer rating can't be much higher (if any) then Ortons was. hell they still went won what 10 games with him? personally iwould rather have kept him then go back with rex.
