Long shot, but...

Is there anyone in the Los Angeles area who wants to go to Costco with me tonight? My membership expired in September, and I just found out there's a $60 off 4 tires coupon floating around somewhere (the offer expires November 2). My tires are pretty bare, and I could use a new set... I went to get them checked out, and apparently I "have" to get them changed by November/December (Dec. would be pushing it).

If you happen to have the coupon lying around (I think you can go in and just ask for one, too... though I could be wrong) and have a free hour to meet up at Costco tonight, I'd really appreciate it. I'll buy you dinner if you can do it... thanks in advance.

Oh, and if this doesn't end up happening... could you please recommend some good, relatively inexpensive ($200-300 for 4, including installation, etc.) tires? Thank you! 🙂

The discount on tires alone would pay for the membership.

I wasn't planning on renewing it, because a Costco membership for one person just isn't practical. All the food I ever purchased there went bad because I wasn't able to finish it... 🙁
 
Just for Tires has pretty good deals.

I was actually just thinking about going to Costco for some stuff, but I can't go tonight.

Isn't it only like 40 or 50 bucks?

I'd probably save that much just buying a couple of books and some clothes. Maybe a DVD or two.

Even with a wife and 3 kids, there are still some foods we can't use enough of to buy at Costco.

You can't use the coupon or buy the tires unless you're a Costco member.

However, if you are already a Costco member, you should be able to go in and ask for a coupon.

I think you need to show them your membership card to even purchase the tires and have them install it for you. Having the coupon without a membership card will do you no good.

Yes, I think a year membership is $45 or so... I really don't buy that much there, though. During the year I was a member, I purchased mostly apple juice, roast chickens, and salad greens.

I have a Costco membership but I'm not in SoCal....even though I want to move there from NorCal. But I'd only meet up and help you get tires if I could be an anonymous "cuddle buddy" 😉. Good luck with that, hope someone saves you some money.

If I took off right after work, I'd get there around 8pm... what time is the Costco there open until? The 405 is a parking lot during rush hour. 🙁
