Long story short, I got spyware on my computer. I was so embarrassed I didn't know what to do. Fortunately I had a copy of hijackthis v1.99. Took ~2 minutes to fix my computer.

I used it and there were still traces of *something* wacky with my computer. I fought it for a month. I gave up and just re-applied an old ghost image.

Re-imaging > *
