I just had a pretty good phone interview with a hiring manager. The phone interview wasn't technical, just a lot of questions about my work and the job in question.

It lasted about 45 min and the interviewer was pretty nice.

Is it required or common to write a Thank You email to them? I usually do for onsite/in person interviews, but not sure about phone interviews.

What's your take on this ATOT?

I would say...go ahead...either by e-mail or snail mail. It's proper interview ediquette.

I actually had a very very brief 10 minute phone interview today myself but it did not really go into ANY technical stuff at all, other than just asking how long I have done C++ for and same with my other languages, and exactly what I do at my current job. At the end she told me she would forward my information onto the next person and that i would definitely hear back from her very soon.

After the interview I decided to send an email thanking her for the time as well as mentioning a few things I forgot in the phone interview.

I say just do it because it won't hurt anything. It can only be positive in the long run.
