TH7-2 with network card

I don't know what to do now. I have tried three cards out, two of witch were DFE-538 one was working with this mobo and win 98 so I thought it was incombatability with this card the th7-2 and win xp so I bought another one from radio shack and it gives me the same error when I try to load the driver "the information is invalid (code1)" I have tried all drivers all pci slots even clearing the cmos (someone sugested it) but to no availe.Any one here have a clue I'm at my wits end.

No one has a clue? I have posted this at four different forums and the only thing I found was one other person with the same problem. The only thing left is to find a copy of win 98 and forget about xp (lost the key for my copy of win 98) thats a last resort but its ether xp and dail up or 98 and adsl.

How about an external USB adaptor? Might be worth a shot.
