Just got to college, and found out that the "large computer desk" would not accomadate my KDS 17" monitor. So I go on a shopping spree and find a Samsung SyncMaster 570V. It's slim, it's bright, and best of all... it was only $369. Got it at Best Buy, and am incredibly happy with it. All in all, it is an awesome monitor. If you are in the market for a TFT, then definitely give the Samsung models a look.
 
TFT in college?

Good grief, in my day we were lucky to get pencils in college.
