im sat on a computer in the library and i jus moved the flat screen monitor so i could see better....but wen i grabbed the sides of the screen water like ripples (small ones mind) came from the sides from where i grabbed

i touched the screen with my finger and even the lightest touch produces a little ripplle...i have a tft in my room but it doesnt do this

why is this?

is it because my monitor is a TFT? and this one its a LCD? i thought they were all the same

That's because they're all LIQUID crystal displays, remember that?

Some have a glass front. You won't be able to create waves in the liquid in those.
