TFNN sucks

They couldn't handle my awesomeness so they stuck me in the gimp tank.

That means you guys get my undivided attention!:wub:

Did you notice how the gimp tank has a sticky floor?

Be sure to wash your hands before you eat anything after you're been in there.

I made a pony thread. Now I'm in the gimp tank.

Now the gimp tank has a pony thread.

Agreed! TFNN sucks!

Wait... What's "TFNN"? "A Radio Station Network providing trading and investment advice, education and information on Gold, Stocks, Options, Commodities, and Forex."???

That place does suck. Just imagine you feel yourself and your internet "forum royalty" friends are soooo special you go out of your way to create a special place where you can all participate in a circle jerk without the "lower classes" of the regular forum

A place with nearly no rules where you can pretty much say what you want/mean without the consequence of being banned. Sounds awful 🙄

Except posting ponies, apparently. :hmm:

There are far fewer rules over there that's for sure. But that's also what makes it not interesting for me. I prefer a community that is well regulated, at least to some degree. That way we can have actual conversations about real topics. Otherwise it's just a 3 year old's sandbox. As much as like to goof off and troll here it's still regulated enough that we can have threads about stuff when we want to, which to me is important.

And there certainly are rules over there. They all just boil down to, don't piss off the 3 yr old mods.

And that's different here...how? You do realize that one of the Triad "over there" is a former AT Administrator. Also, one of the regular posters was the Forum Director here, as well as several other former mods/elites/etc?

Consistency. During the Change of Culture and such there used to be a lot of drama about unfair moderation and too strict of rules and blahblahblah but these days the lines are pretty well set here, as reasonably as can be expected. TFNN is cliquish, just like all off-shoot forums are, and it seems like it's cool to nef and shit on certain members for some people but not for others. I just discovered the existence of the "Gimp Tank" today, and may I assume that it is their work-around for being able to say that you can't get banned? Defining "being an asshole" would be a nice start to reducing arbitration.

Members are gimped maybe once during their time on those forums. You can be gimped for no reason, or you can be gimped because you can deserve it. It rarely lasts more than a day, and it isn't a type of punishment. It's fun and it happens.

Here, however, you have to read over the guidelines before making each post just to make sure you don't get a warning.

Fair enough, I didn't understand how it worked. All I know is that I had to go to two different threads to read ponies. 🙁

Most of the stuff here is just common sense. I've gotten a few infractions here for stuff that I didn't think was that bad but looking back on it I can see why I got those too. Since the "change in culture" I don't think I've seen anyone banned on here for reasons I wouldn't agree with. And there are those that I wish they would ban that they haven't. Like I said keeping things relatively civil here is one of the reasons I love ATOT.
