TF2 server ping?

I couldn't find a server with a ping under 160 all day. normally i can find plenty under 100, even in the 70s

My ping has been all over the board since TF2 came out. I usually ping ~20 to my clan's Chicago server, but now I'm hard pressed to get under 100.

TF2 broke the internet ?

I haven't had any ping issues today, but I've only been playing for the last half hour or so and I'm on the west coast.

A lot of east coast servers are located in VA and NY, close to you. I usually play with a ping of 19.

how the heck does that happen? the lowest i ever see is like 70 and those are even same coast servers. When in game, my pings are usually in the 90s

Some of my Favorited servers give me 9-14 ping. On generic west coast pub servers I get 25-50 ping on average.

I usually find great pings of 20-30...in steam they show up as 60-80 though. Once I join, my actual ping is damn good.

Crappy connection? I usually get around 40-50 with the occasional spikes into the 300 range. GG crappy hotel internet.
