TF2: Medic Achievment: Family Practice. Anyone else get it bugged?

I've got 9/10, but no matter how many new friends I make and uber, it won't tick to 10. Anyone know a solution? I had heard that removing gameinfo.txt and gamestat.txt would reset all the "counting" achievements to 0 so I could redo it, but I'd really rather not reset Chief of Staff from 700k as long as it's there. Anyone know of another way to fix Family Practice? If not, I guess I'll just finish CoS before I reset and do FP.

That doesn't make sense that it would reset if you delete those files. By that logic couldn't you simply edit the files to just give you the achievements?

A lot of people have said deleting the files does nothing, I'd just wait for a patch as it's probably a bug. Just out of curiosity, did you use the console command to unlock on day 1?

Does that console command still work? Seems like way too many people have it.

No it's been patched, but I think there were some people who got to keep a few weapons they unlocked. I think there was a way to unlock the weapons but not all the achievements so those people weren't affected by the reset, at least that's what I've read anyways. A lot of people have also "farmed" the achievements with friends and on custom maps.

Yeah, if you see someone with some of the stupid weapons (upgraded saw... 25 medic kills with saw) They cheated their way to em with buddies. Not gonna happen in less than a few months otherwise. UNLESS they play on one of those servers with the melee TDM at round end.

Nope, I never used the unlock console command to cheat - I was never even aware of it till recently. I never did any kind of cheating whatsoever. However, I have played on the achievements custom map to help unlock some of the more obscure achievements (ie uber a scout and get three kills). Do you think there's any possibility that the custom map bugged it / Valve has somehow identified custom map users and invalidated some of the achievements. I'd be a bit frustrated if this were the case since it's simply playing a custom map and not altering game mechanics in any way. I realize it may not be the true intent of the achievements, but let's be honest, some of those are just not going to happen in normal game play. I'm just sorta frustrated because I put a lot of effort into unlocking a lot of these (before I knew such a thing as an achievements map existed).
