steam market = store credit.

mind you the prices are only high at the start. as more people farm the gift drops the prices drop. it's only at the start of the event weeks when everyone sees all the lucky guys who get the rarer paint or footprint spells and are envy ridden that they are willing to pay the premium. some of the spells i had were worth $20 when i first checked. in the few minutes it took to list them on steam market the price had dropped to $10

i took a chance that the spells i saved would be worth a year of not playing on that account. i was almost kicking myself when on the 1st day of the event the spells still werent tradable or sellable.

try to find a lakeside_event server with a mod that teleports you every couple of seconds to all the gift points. you can idle for hours and not worry about missing the gift or getting killed while trying to find the gift.

I had no idea the spells were for sale. Actually I've only seen them in action a few times at most. I usually try to avoid the Halloween period because all the cosmetics look ridiculous, and the level of play kinda drops off as people go chasing pumpkins/candy/whatever the new event has. Nice to see you made some money on those spells though. My Steam wallet still has money left over from the time I sold my Unusual Fancy Fedora with the Ghosts effect. I think I've bought like 20 games thanks to that hat lol.

yeah for a free drop it is a nice little profit. i've never been the gambling type so the idea of buying a key to try for an unusual has always been a bit anathema, but unusuals are the only way to make big money/credit.

i want a manbird of aberdeen costume part, but i dont know if i can grind hightower event again without a crap ton of alcohol to dilute the effect of all the derp players i see on those servers.

Yeah I'm not the type to gamble either, but I had traded my earbuds for several keys, then got lucky with the hat. I actually liked the hat quite a bit as I love playing spy, and jokingly I put it on the Steam market for the max allowed ($400), the next day it sold!

Wow, I haven't played this game in ages. I still suck at it.

Same here. I tried the first Halloween event but was not that impressed. I am the type of guy that can play 2Fort for 3 hours every evening, so a new map was no fun for me to learn.

I may suck at a lot of classes, but I could fall back on my Pyro skillz and protect a good Engy and his gear all day long.

I generally need a lot of time to get used to a new map and tend to play Attack & Defense much more than any other map.....I suppose it's just a comfort zone thing.
One thing for sure is that I hate to be dominated by anyone and I make it a personal challenge to get revenge plus then some ......(sometimes, the other guy is just too good and gets the best of me.)

Lately, I've been enjoying Pyro (when I don't have a lot of time to play)and also Engineer when I do have time.......but, soldier is my goto guy.
