TF2 bots...

I did a search here and google and cant find an answer to this, but how does one battle bots in TF2. I prefer to learn the maps/game play a bit before jumping on a server. I plugged through the options, but cant find it.

Hmmm, alright. Well, that does answer my question. Grazie. I wasnt able to find any info though, just how the AI learns.

how can you find info about AI in a game that doesn't have AI?

Steve Bond, the lead AI guru behind the vicious enemies in Half-Life, will be the point man for the bot's AI in TF2. The base concept that the AI will be built off of is a "learning design," (the artificial combatants learn from their mistakes and successes.)

edit: Is that article really old? Its not dated and given that TF2 has been in development for like 10 years i suspect it is....
edit2: Oh, yea that link looks like it might be really old...meh.

Just jump on and give it a go. I'm not the best at FPS's, but I jumped in and gave it a shot. I've been having sooo much fun with this one. A little experimenting with the different classes and I've found that they are all pretty easy to play; though I get a little confused playing the spy and tend to steer clear from playing one. I've been playing the most with the pyro.

Very very old...it still talks about the commander class being around.

It took them a while to get bots in CSS if I remember right. Probably the same thing here, as the bots have to do more stuff in TF2.
