TF2 2d clocks and ccc

anyone else have this problem with tf2? it's running in 2d clock mode. i noticed my fps were dropping in the 40's and i checked my temps and they were only at 47..only 7 more than idle. sure enough, i open up ccc and it is running at 300 on the gpu instead of 800. any way to fix this?

ATi or Nvidia card? If it's Nvidia, open up the control panel and set up a custom profile for the game that tells it to run at 100%.

I don't know aynthing about catalyst so I can't help you if it's ATI.


edit: i think rivatuner can do it as well.

3870. i don't really know anything about ati either. i can enable oc with rivatuner and it will work in 3d clock mode, but i have to reboot for it to run idle at 300 again.

NOBODY? you guys should check this for yourselves, i doubt i'm the only one having this problem. does it with 7.12 and 8.2, never tried 8.1.
