Hi, I saw with my friend serious problem on Geforce line cards,, I was talking to my another friend and he told me that it is kind of presentation of textures on all Nvidia cards,,, on many games, mainly 3rd person shooters, when I am moving at about 100fps, it doesnt matter because on Q3, Counterstrike(oooold engine, must flow like river whithout any hip hop of textures) textures are cutting, in a short time of second, but country and textures on it is not flowing whithout miscelaneous short one or more time textures cut,, it is looking so ugly,, on Voodoo3 is every mentioned game and also many new one going about 50, 30,70 fps, it doesnt matter but there is no texture cut when I am moving very fast, or, I am turning around especcialy in 3d shooter games,, I saw the same problem on 2 computers with Geforce 2MX400 64MB,,, the games were as I mentioned Q3 and Counterstrike also some demos do that,, it is sooooooooooooo ugly and not good point when you are playing games. I didnt saw this problem on etc. MDK2. It is no matter of performance,,, Friends (I have seen 3 Geforces)have AthlonXP1800, 256DDR, and KT266A chipset, and Nforce chipset but with card off on board, and with additional Geforce2MX400 64mb,,,is this problem caused with MX crappy chip or also on Titanium G2, and mainly I wanna know about Geforce3 and 4 . because I wanna buy good card and Geforce Ti4200 128mb is looking good in tests, but when I saw this cutting textures in some times, I will throw it true my window, as fast as hell. I was trying also enabling V sync, no fix of cut hip hop problem, f... ing bad looking, please tell me about your opinion serious gamers, also write your type of Geforce and etc. Thanks a lot for reading my long thread;)

I know now the name of problem , texture synchronization,,, its not a synchronization in Nvidia Geforce2MX400 64mb card,, its nightmare,,, also on 60fps,, what the f... k are they in Nvidia doing?? and what are they selling, all people are blind?? is this problem also with geforce 3,4, or radeon8500??? I need to know,, because these texture desinchronization on G2MX is bullshit. Not good gameing feeling, no problem on all voodoos I have been using, but voodoo is really old time to upgrade to normal working high end card, with good texture synchranization and no cutting textures, when I am moving fast in 3rd person games,, like quake3,, I wanna too much from Nvidia??? tell me your experiences with this card on fast moving games(q3, return to castle wolfenstein, counterstrike) please,, I need to know it for sure(Geforce 2 , 3, 4 users). Also wanna heard opinion of Radeon 8500 users

that is almost completely indechiperable. after looking at if for a few minutes (it gave me a headache, by the way), i think that i get the drift of what you are asking...maybe. i don't know what you are talking about. i have seen dozens of nVidia equipped systems (i'm running one myself) and i have never seen this....problem.

I think you're having a problem with tearing? Never had a problem with my GF2 or GF4 Ti video cards. Never owned a MX card so I can't say about that. The only reason I can see for texture tearing is from core overclocking. That or you tried enabling some odd feature that isn't supported.

I know what you're saying about the headache. :)

Ok folks, you are right about that problem, its caused by that ,, my friends havent got also refresh fix installedn on Windows XP,, and they have poor refresh and higher fps in some older games makes mainly in opengl tearing of textures, its incredible that so little problem, and I havent found the way to fix it. Thanks for your time, I will buy MSI Geforce4 Ti4200 128MB, great card;);)

From looking around the net, a lot of people with GeForce cards have been having tearing problems with Quake3 based games. Is Counterstrike a Quake3 or Quake2 based game? I'm not sure. At any rate, nobody has been able to solve my tearing problems that I have with Return to Castle Wolfenstein (Q3 based). The best thing I can do is set my refresh rate as high as it will go. The higher my refresh rate, the less noticable the tearing is. I've tried everything to get rid of it, but nothing seems to work. VSync and "sync every frame" in the game does nothing. I also tried that "max fps 85" command or whatever, and that doesn't work. The tearing isn't all that bad at a refresh rate of 85, so I guess I'll be alright. I think some GeForce cards have an issue between VSync and these games. Q3 games just don't seem to be responding to VSync.

i never get noticeable tearing in any games regardless of whether vSync is on or not. is your card overclocked, maybe a little too high, Rebel...?

My card ain't overclocked at all. If you'll look around at some other forums, you'll see I am not alone. Quake3 games seem to be the only ones that do it.

I have heard opinion that Vsync enabled and triple buffer also, It can probably help, also are you all using Nvidia refresh fix when you are probably uder Windows XP??? This thread about tearing is serious as I see. ok , I hope we can fix it, tell me if also that enabled tripple buffer helped.
