I just got a 7 plus to try out, just moved my sim card to it and everything seems to work fine, but for some reason every text i get in the messages app has a weird string of characters after it. It will look something like this: ~Vvj1j2jf0/23 or something, they seem to be following the same format so I'm wondering if it's some network side thing that's incorrectly getting stuck in the messages.
I only get these on messages I receive, I don't see them on sent messages. When I first moved my sim I had my messages being sent to hangouts, I had to download hangouts and turn off SMS there to get them to show up in messages so not sure if that's related somehow. I did not see these stings in the SMS's I got in hangouts before I disabled that. If anyone knows how to fix this it that'd be great, it's not the end of the world but it is pretty annoying.
