text size in ie6 on xp home

i thought the default command to increase text size in ie6 on xp home was hold ctrl and scroll the mouse wheel...appaently i was wrong...someone help me out here please? ie help is retarded..

well..i've done that and it doesnt make a difference in the actual text of webpages...only menu options and such...theres a way to do it with the scroll wheel...i just cant remember which key you hold...

That should increase the size of the text on webpages for your mom, I have also heard about a program called JAWS that could be helpful if she is half blind.

ctrl-mouse scroll of view->text size should work. However it depends on the webpage. If the designer used fixed font sizes, theres not much you can do about it, aside from external programs.

Note to web developers: use EMs instead of PX so your pages are more easily accessible.

well, some pages don't work like that. i have often come upon a website, where they have a set size for there fonts, esp if it the words are on a picture (e.g.: advertising, or front pages of many porn sites...) :D
