Text problem on LCD driving me crazy!

I have a Hercules PV920 17" LCD hooked up on vga on a GF4 Ti4200 with latest drivers. Running at native res of 1280x1024 at 60hz (recommended refresh rate). It looks good, except for my text! On the far left side of the screen, text is fine and crisp. about 1/4 to the right, the text gets thicker and harder to read. This is about a 2 inch segement. (there is also a hot pixel in this segment of the screen) In the rest of the screen, the text looks fine and crisp again. Refresh to 75hz makes the whole screen kinda thick in text.

Any ideas about the problem?

Does the monitor have an auto-calibrate feature? If so, try using that once or twice.

HAHAHAHA You are the MASTER!!!!!!!!!!! It worked!

I had reset the color values to the ones recommended by Tom's Hardware and I think that messed it up.

Thanks man.

Ok, nevermind, I checked the color values and they are still what I set them at according to TH.

I love this LCD. Really stylish, really nice picture, good for games. Plus, I don't have to reframe my picture every 5 minutes like I did on my 7 year old 15" yellowed plastic compaq CRT.
