Does anybody know if there is a website that would allow me to send text messages to someone's phone, with out having to use my phone, and pay for the messages sent?

AIM works great for it.

would meebo.com also work for it, i cant seem to find it.

i do not have access to the aim program at work.

I've tried it on Meebo but that doesn't work.

Also try your carrier's website. I think you can send messages through Cingular's site.

well i have cingular, but i know they charge me 10 cents a messaged for text that i send directly from my phone, but i would like to find a free service i could use.

It seems cingulars site only allows texts to be sent to cingular and previous at&t users.

I am curious if anyone has used cingulars site, and if it is indeed free to use.

You can send a text message for free from the major carriers websites without even having to register or anything.

so basically you have lots of options that you know about but can't seem to make any of them work through either technical or stupidity reasons?
