Text Editor for Resume

I am sick of the look of my resume I created in Word 5-6 years ago....

Are there any good text editors that excel at resumes?

I made a quick one using Pages, but wanted to see if there was anything else I should look into...

Nothing fancy, just a bit more modern.

Pages '08 has some really nice templates... is that what you are using?

I just use latex. There's lots of good templates around if you google. Doesn't produce .docs, but then at least it stops you from applying anywhere that only accepts .doc resumes 😛
