When I print an email from the sent folder, this:

Please add the crate charge – I will be happy to pay the

Prints like this:

Please add the crate charge "little square" "little square" "little square" I will be happy to pay the
*little square looks like a little square character

If I look at the message source I see this:

Please add the crate charge =E2=80=93 I will be happy to pay the

For some reason the en/em dash is being replaced by these characters.

Here's the strange part...if I create a new email it works fine, if I try from Word it works fine. It seems to be a problem when I respond to some emails.

I should have mentioned this is a new HP printer w/ new drivers, the old HP had the same problems. The problem comes up with all of our printers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Delete printer drivers and reinstall them. They may be corrupt.

Thanks for taking a look...It's a brand new printer that was installed a week ago with new drivers, it did the same thing on the old one.
I updated the question with: "I should mention this is a new HP printer w/ new drivers, the old HP had the same problems. The problem comes up with all of our printers."

Do you have Adobe Acrobat or some other "Print to PDF" in outlook? Try disabling that option if you can.

Oyeve and Corkyg:

I tried both of your suggestions and it did not help. Ah!

It does not do this on all emails. I can start a new email and type the same thing, print it and it's fine. If I copy and paste the problem email into a new email and print it it's fine. If I forward the problem email to someone else and they print it the problem shows up.

The problem does not show up that often and not from the same sender...it just happend once a while.

Thanks!

Mitch
