I guess that's a valid point - but at the same time that can be summed up in about 2 sentences, right? There isn't exactly much history there? First woman to get nominated by a major party. First woman to lose after said major nomination. That and "first woman" can be said for anything.

It's not like they are leaving out some smashing huge historical event.

not all of texas is totally backwards. it has some redeeming areas

i do lament whenever a texas senator/representative says something ridiculous (which is often). this state at times seems just barely better than florida, but that's not exactly a high bar. i will definitely be voting to try and change that in november
