Texas School District Bans Cleavage In Classroom

At my high school girls weren't allowed to wear skirts that were shorter than where their hands hit on their thighs. They could show as much cleavage as they wanted though which I was perfectly fine with. 😀
 
i can understand WHY they chose to do this.
From what i have seen young girls (12yo to 17 yo) wearing, it is sad, scarry and inappropriate.
They see what famous "skanks" are wearing on TV and in mags and they want to look that way too, eventhough the celebrities are often times 10-15 years older than them.
I feel sorry for the young girls growing up too fast wearing adult clothing.

I am all for being proud of ones body, but there is a time, place and AGE for that.

I will stop being a prude now 😀

I am a guy..and thus love the cleavage but I agree....girls are wearing stuff at such a young age now that its a bit strange. I remember in highschool, and middle school that some stuff people wore was a bit much..but most of it was ok. Now I can see a 17 year old and think she is closer to my age (22).

Same rule in our school, and it's no problem for male faculty to enforce it. But, you're right, as we discussed in faculty meetings, there's not a very tactful way for a male teacher to approach the issue in class. So the simple solution is a discipline referral is sent to the office... students name, what's wrong, signed: faculty. Student is later called down, problem solved. From a teacher's perspective, I have seen male students completely distracted by the clothing girls were wearing to the point that it completely disrupts the educational process for them. "Hmmmm, John's taking a test, but he's just sitting there, staring forward most of the time." 5 minutes later, while walking around the room I notice (and it'd be impossible not to notice; I'm not specifically checking girls out) that Betty's thong underwear are all that's covering half of her butt the way her jeans are riding so low in the back. No wonder John has been staring forward.

edit: it's kinda ironic how I can and have no problem telling a male student with his underwear hanging half out "Hey Bob, I don't care if you think it's stylish, we don't want to see your underwear." But, I'd never in a million years dare say that to a female student.
 
I'm not in High School anymore so I don't give a damn. Now if they put in a dress code at RIT then I would have a problem.

Around here ill see 14 year olds dressed like they are at least 18.
 
I went to catholic high school, all male. There were an equal number of all girl catholic high schools in the area, and apparently they were pretty strict about dress at those places. Apparently you had to kneel, and if your skirt didn't touch the ground you were in violation. God alone knows what happened next, the nuns that ran the girl's schools were scary.
