It's shit like this, the constant lying and conspiracy theories by Republicans why this country can't solve its problems. Don't believe me, take from another Republican...

Now we have yet another whopper by the second largest Republican organization in the country.

The Texas GOP's new platform also described homosexuality as an "abnormal lifestyle choice" and called for the party to "oppose all efforts to validate transgender identity."

You can' make this garbage up. I don't know which are worse - the political shenanigans of my state (Florida) or those of my daughter's (Texas.)

Too bad there aren't enough liberals of the Christian faith to tell the so called Christian Evangelicals that real Christianity is socialism pure and simple. But you could get laughed at by other liberals if you professed faith in one of the world's greatest religions.

Wouldn't want to risk being called naive gullible or stupid by people who reject Christianity because they themselves can't forgive.

Link to the published piece of propaganda material.

In it they claim they want the removal of the 1965 Civil Rights Act, Income Tax, H1-B visa program.
They also make the claim that the U.S. was built on the ideologies of Christianity, and that the pastors should have the right to free speech. They furthermore ask for the reintroduction of school prayer in all schools, public or private. Other things they ask for are, requiring work study to be merit based rather than race or family income based, require proof that a person is disabled before they can receive disability assistance, legalize abortion and promote giving up to adoption, ending birth-right citizenship, giving the right to pastor to call off a wedding if they believe if any of the parties in the wedding violates the pastor's belief. Oh I forgot about the fact that they do not want to let prisoners be covered under any form of insurance or state sponsored programs, prisoners have to pay out of pocket

Oh... and get this.... they want to end the requirement of annual auto inspections in Texas, claiming that a person only buys a vehicle once when it is sold to them. They also want auto dealers to go out of business by giving the right to Texans to buy a vehicle straight from the factory at the listed price. They will stil require auto inspection for commercial vehicles.

The biggest thing off all on this massive GOP wish list..... they want to allow people to carry more than $10K dollars worth of foreign currency without the need to inform the DHS. If you currently hold something like that much, you need to tell the DHS.

Did the Texas GOP copy paste Trumps Christmas wish list?

I think the biggest push there is to have a pastor refuse to marry someone. Anyone have an estimate on how long it takes to get ordained in texas? Gonna have a ton of liberal officiants in short order.

Baby, I'm boycotting Texas. Haven't stepped foot in Texas since I visited the Grassy Knowle ~2 months after JFK's assassination (on my way to east coast, drove through Texas, overnighted in El Paso).

I have stopped playing Texas' music on my radio show. My contempt for Cruz, Abbot and the vice-govna Dan Patrick, is very intense.

Texans are insane, which isn't saying much, so I'll say they are much more insane than most Americans, which IS saying something.

Just when you think Texas can't get any dumber, a GOP idiot in Texas says "Hold my beer." It's either something in the Texas air or water that makes people effectively brain dead.

Just idiots trying to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. Pastors aren’t required to marry people.

My wife and I had an extended family member who was a pastor. He refused to be out officiant because we lived together before marriage.

You attribute to Texas, something that applies to humans everywhere.
Which is, itself, a rather stupid thing for you to do.

Texas is not unique, they are just large enough to try and lead the way for others to follow.
Most red states will endorse similar policy.

How fast the red states are moving backwards is frightening

The internet is one hell of a drug.
After the near removal of local politics, our national politics has devolved into a race to perfect their sieg heils salute. Individualism and free thought drowned by oaths of loyalty before all else. Russia beat us to the punch, but many nations are suffering from a resurgence of renewed fascism, and we owe it all to the human psyche. Really, it's just our normal condition to scapegoat, to fearmonger, to form tribal groups that strive to club the "other". It's just we've never had such an effective tool to organize it before.

Modern communications have put all societies in grave danger. For there is no longer any filter between our darkest impulses and the vulnerable minds of millions. It's a cycle that feeds into itself.

Man, I just started reading a few articles more in-depth on this GOP platform and potential planks. It is so scary. These people are truly evil. There is no other way to put it at this point. They are just mid-stage Nazis at this point
