30 runs is about how many runs they score in 30 games. Rangers suck, but my Astros aren't doing too much better either.

Looks like humiliating the opposing team isn't as taboo in baseball as it is in hockey.

They went beyond humiliation! Hopefully they do the same in game 2. lol

Jesus. I hate my baseball team. This is a complete embarrassment. How the hell did Burres give up 8 runs in 2/3 inning?

News Flash for the O's starter in the second game... You're throwing a complete game, no matter what stuff you have tonight!

holy shiat!!!

How does the save work again? He pitched 3 innings, but by the time he entered, texas was already winning 14-3...?

Edit:

A save is a statistic credited to a relief pitcher, as set forth in Rule 10.19 of the Rules of Baseball. That rule states The official scorer shall credit a pitcher with a save when such pitcher meets all four of the following conditions: (1) He is the finishing pitcher in a game won by his team; (2) He is not the winning pitcher; (3) He is credited with at least a third of an inning pitched; and (4) He satisfies one of the following conditions: (a) He enters the game with a lead of no more than three runs and pitches at least one inning; (b) He enters the game, regardless of the count, with the potential tying run either on base, or at bat or on deck (that is, the potential tying run is either already on base or is one of the first two batters he faces); or (c) He pitches for at least three innings. 1

If you pitch 3+ innings to close a game out, you get the save...

Yes, embarrassing, but I'll take one blowout loss over the slump my team has had recently (TB).

Standings in AL east.
