Don't know if this is the right place to post this question, but I'll give it a shot. A neighbor has managed to get some tickets for the O'Reilly 300 on April 5 and the Samsung 500 on April 6. Does anyone know of a good place to spend the night that is nearby?

I checked the texasmotorspeedway website and it is useless in recommending accomodations.

I'm not trying to be an ass, but you'd better hurry. At most of these tracks, rooms are sold out a year in advance. Of course I imagine there are always cancellations.

Yep, and the rooms damn sure wont be giveaway priced either.

There is a huge hotel right at the racetrack, that would certainly be most convenient, but surely the most expensive.

This might help

You will likely have to look outside a 10-20mi radius around the track at this point. But don't worry there are plenty of hotels in the area, and we have overall great freeways around here.

You will probably spend an hour or more in trafic within a few miles of the track on I-35 or 114 trying to get in so driving 20-30mins from the hotel is not a problem, just leave yourself a couple of hours to get from the hotel to the track.

What price range are you looking for?

This would be very nice and would probably be my choice for such an excursion, between the airport and the track in a nice upscale area, great ameneties and tons of stuff nearby.

Good news is they appear to have openings on those dates, bad news is its fairly pricey:(
The cheapest room with 2xqueens is $300+, and suites run over $500. But for a one time friends got tickets deal it's probably perfect

I see your from Houston, so will probably be driving. In that case I would come through Austin up I-35W and just look for hotels along I-35 in Fort Worth. There are a couple of nice Holiday Inns, a Raddison, Embassy suites, ect.... limit your search to the I-35W corridor
