I heard that sex sell but, scantily dressed women/girls displaying religious quotes?,

cheer_s800x531.jpg

maybe instead they ought to crack open that bible of theirs and read it

1 Timothy 2:9
Scantily dressed women displaying religious quotes works for me. I'd prefer them to be at least thirty or so though.

I have no problem with people that want to wear burkas or need to take time out of their day to privately pray (regardless of religion). As long as they aren't imposing on the freedom of other students to pray or not to pray, there isn't really a problem.

But then again, I also don't have a persecution complex or have an irrational fear of Muslims.
Odd, that. You see cheerleaders spending private money to make and display religious banners as a violation of the First Amendment, yet you're fine with a religious activity that actually costs the government money. Remember that there has to be a place to pray, and supervision, and the school must halt for those prayers or else the Muslim kids would be left behind.

:D +1 Like nuns in leather.

I'm imagining something like the Christmas dinner scene in A Christmas Story. "Ah, a sexy Cheereader! Come sit on Santa's rap."

I hate Jesus Freaks as much as the next person with half of a functioning brain, but the Freedom from Religion people are a bunch of a holes as well. They tried to sue our hospital last year because a Nurse had a cross on her necklace. F them. Besides, everyone knows cheerleaders are stupid airheads, now they can advertise the fact.

I fucking hate evangelical, prosthelytizing Christians. They grab every chance they can get to assert the dominance of their particular belief, in every public forum available. And then fight and screech and try to shout down anyone who has the balls to stand up and say "hey, that's not fair to the rest of us". Christians don't care about fair, they care about winning ...

What a bunch of BS! If Christians want to go on the street and preach they have the right to do it. And do you have any examples of this?

Why don't you attack another group of people who also want their religion forced onto everyone and are willing to use force.

He has as much right to attack them as they have the right to speak out about their religion.

So eat it.

Using public money and public properties to promote your religion and further its goals.

And why don't we attack another group, or what you really meant to say Muslims, is because Muslims aren't any danger of actually imposing anything on us in the foreseeable future. OTOH, Christians are actively trying to force shit on us up to and including through legislation.

If taxpayer money is used then it must stop but these cheerleaders used their own money for the signs. What's wrong with Christians expressing themselves?

As long as they aren't using force then it's alright. Are they using force?

They use loud ass megaphones that if you are to close and its pointed at your ear can cause damage. They also litter the fuck out of the area with their pamphlets that no one wants along with being just a general nuisance.

Pretty sure displays of religion are not banned on public properties.

Are you suggesting we should start confiscating crucifixes and Muslim head scarfs when people walk onto public properties?

Funny that you and the people suing in this case want to FORCE secularism in all public properties

Do you get equally upset with liberal groups like Occupy Wall Street?

I am not talking about the cheerleaders. You asked a specific question and I gave an answer. Furthermore, I have seen you specifically bitch and moan about public entities ceasing to spend public money on your religion.

My point still stands, Christians either do or are attempting to affect my day to day life far more than any other religion.

Give me more examples than the Mardi Gras people. Funny you don't complain about radical Islamists wanting sharia law.

No problem, they have actively and sometimes successfully sought to put biblical teachings, specifically creationism as of late, into public science class rooms.

That should be plenty good enough to satisy the discussion although I can list countless other examples. To date I am not aware of anywhere in the US in which Sharia has been successfully implemented and is enforced. Hell I haven't even heard of anywhere in the US where it was in danger of being implemented. Creationism otoh, while it has died down a bit, used to be in the news every other week.

The freedom from religion was defeated in this case. Hopefully these idiots learn their lesson and back off.

You really think they will back off? Lol, the war that yall started is just starting to heat up and the only "win" you can claim so far is some cheerleaders holding up banners. I can't wait for the happy holidays thread again :)

Thank you, I am aware of these idiots who want creationism taught in public schools. Creationism should never be taught in any taxpayer funded school and which religion in particular was doing it. The government must say no to them and take a stand.

If they want to teach creationism in PRIVATE schools then let them.

As for sharia are you aware of what happened with the zombie Muhamad where the victim was blamed by the judge? Or the amusement park incident where they rioted because they weren't allowed on the rides with their hijab because it was a safety risk?

There was also the group of Christians who were STONED for speaking at a Muslim festival.

There are Christians who are idiots but they aren't dangerous. Even Bill Maher stated you can't compare the Christians to radical Muslims since the radicals will kill you.

They are there all the time, not just during Mardi Gras. Any tool bag politician who tries to legislate Sharia law in this country I will absolutely oppose. But that hasn't happened, instead its made up outrage from the crazies.

First of all, it is far more dangerous to be influencing the science we teach our children then all of the deaths Muslims have caused in the US combined. Secondly, how about the abortion clinic bombings? Lastly, do you have any links to the stuff you just posted? I havent heard about it so I assume its not even remotely a legitimate concern.

Have you noticed that the fuckers are even starting to get lazy? Last couple of times I was in the quarter there crosses had wheels on the bottom. Can't even carry the cross like Christ did in the bible, lazy fuckers.

Sharia law has been legal and has been used in the US since forever.
Catholics use religious courts and so do Jews.
Banning the use of Sharia law in the US has been brought up in several states
