Texas and Used cars. Can someone explain this?

Did an ebay search for G35. 18 in Texas. 4 in CA.
350Z: 11 in Texas, 3 in CA.

CA has more people than Texas, and if I am not mistaken more wealthy people. Weather is not fundamentally different.
So what's the reason for such an overwhelming advantage of TX when it comes to supply of lightly used sports/GT cars?

it's their way of paying tribute to the alamo.

i know, that made no sense, sorry, pulling all-nighter writing a paper : (

Obviously wealthy people don't like the G35...or really like it and don't want to get rid of it...or maybe the the people in Texas got it from their rich relative in CA and didn't want a car that came from the wrong side of the alamo wall.

I bought a used car here (went up to Fort Worth actually) six months ago, but it wasn't exactly a G35 or something else similarly expensive. 😛

However, the model I was looking for (and eventually found) - I could only find three in the state under $5000 (budget was basically limited to the money I'd gotten from the insurance company - and I didn't want to go into debt at this point in my life). One didn't have a sunroof (which I wanted), one had almost 200k miles, and the other one I managed to buy for $2000. 🙂

when I bought my Lightning I had no trouble finding dozens or a few hundred to choose from in Texas. picked mine up in Houston
