There are *NO* concrete details on this yet - but just as a pre-planning measure, I'd like to find out how many ATOTers would be interested in attending a LAN event in the York, PA area?
There would be a small entry fee, since this would be a fundraiser for a computer refurbishment group that refurbs donated machines and turns them around to nonprofit organizations and, primarily, school districts. *EVERY* bit that isn't refurbishable (i.e. worthless hardware, chassis, etc.) is stripped to the most fundamental components and recycled or sold for scrap to fund the rest of the operation. Naturally, donations of computers and components would be taken on-site as well.
I repeat - there is NOTHING firm about this (other than that it will eventually happen). This DOES NOT need a sticky. That thread will come when there are actual details to be had. This is just for the purpose of determining the viability of "foreign" involvement in the event.
