Testing system stability

I just finished a new gaming build and I'm about to overclock. What programs should I use to test stability of my ram, mobo, video card etc? Thanks.

Thanks, passed on all of them.🙂

you need to loop them and let them run for many hours. usually when i build a new machine it will get 12hours of memtest, 12hours of prime95 torture test in all the flavors at different times and loop 3dmark05 for a couple hours. if it just goes through a couple of times, that does not mean it is completely stable, that is why i do the 12hour rule.

Does Prime95 test the ram stability also? If it does, do I still need to run memtest?

i run them both, and they both do test the ram. sometimes when i am building a machine before i put the os on i will just put in a memtest disc and test everything before taking the time to pu the os on. just run prime95 for 12-24 hours in torture mode with the option to test the ram and you should be good to go.
